Why Orpacific? The Orpacific PhD program is an innovation that is revolutionalising the world of advanced study. No university in the world, however established can claim that all their faculties are top researchers. The more well endowed universities will have one or two bright spots in each of many areas, whereas the less endowed ones may only have a bright spot in their entire landscape. Therefore there is no guarantee that one gets to work with the top researcher even when studying in the well endowed universities. Orpacific like all other universities are unable to attract only top faculties to work full time with us. Besides not everyone would want to re-locate to one particular place in the world. However with today's advance Internet technology, there is now a blur division between physical and virtual meetings. Orpacific sources our advisors from anywhere in the world. Our advisors work virtually with our students. We remove the need for people to re-locate. We directly compensate advisors for their time they spend with our students, in the same way they act as consultants to companies, they act as consultants to Orpacific. Orpacific does not dump you with your advisor, and hopes for the best. We have a comprehensive feedback system, where there are regular milestone reporting to ensure learning is on track. These milestone reportings are 'eternally' archived and may be reviewed anytime by anyone, quite unlike private review meetings where non-progress can possibily be swept under the carpet. Orpacific pays on progress, unless there are exceptional reasons. We do not give a blank cheque to anyone. We ensure your works are internationally recognised. You must published at least in peer refereed international conferences. Finally we put your achievements on show, online where all can see, or be carried by you in a GDP DVD to anywhere in the world, not linked to the Internet. Orpacific Certification is not a mere statement that its programs had been looked over by someone, and on the average, most graduates are competent. At Orpacific, every graduate carries with him/her the evidences that he/she is competent. Language of Instruction / Communication The main language used will be in English.
